I started my weekly preggo blogs with Dexter at 8 weeks so I am 11 weeks behind with Bug. Whoops. Not that I haven't been taking the pictures though. We've been good about that since I was 14 weeks. Does this mean when Baby A3 comes that I will forget about this completely? Sounds like it. I sure hope not!
Back to business. I turn over on Wednesdays so yesterday I turned 19 weeks. I am feeling very good but at times I feel very large. I know from previous experience and from every mother out there that of course, I will get much bigger but this pregnancy seems like I got big so quickly. When I have a lot to eat for the day I swear I'm waddling by the end of the day and it just seems way too early for that.
I am finally sleeping through the night. I was getting up 2-4 times a night to go the bathroom but thankfully that seems to have calmed down. I miss sleeping on my stomach immensely and know that soon I will have to give up on my back as well. I hate restrictions at bedtime!
This baby craves orange juice like nothing else. I also have been going through a lot of grape jelly this week. Seriously, I love a piece of wheat bread loaded with grape jelly. Yum-o. Dinner is still the hardest time of day food wise but at least I'm able to actually eat now. I think for the first 14 weeks that was not an easy task. My morning sickness went away but has made an appearance a few times this last week. Mostly when I get too full which is the opposite of before. Easy enough to manage.
We hit a big milestone this week. We picked out our baby names. We had decided to go with Ayda Lynn for the baby girl name since that was the name we had decided on for Dexter if he was going to be a girl but to my surprise, we ended up changing that completely! I will have to save Ayda for baby girl#2. I feel so much better now that the names are done. A huge weight off my chest. I wish I could tell you but with all of these pregnant ladies out there, I'm scared someone will snatch our name before we have the baby. I'm starting to see more Dexter's around and I don't like it!
We have the closets in our bedroom getting started tomorrow probably so that means I can get our clothes out of the new nursery and start prepping it for painting and decorating. I know that once the warm weather comes I am going to want to be outside and not cooped up inside decorating the nursery! I also got the diapers all picked out that I am going to buy. Well, sort of anyway. I am going to buy 3 different types and see which I like better. Use Angel's baby as a tester :) Not even born yet and already going to help Auntie Jessie! After hours and hours and hours of research, I found that DiaperRite had the best ratings for prefolds and so that is what I will go with for that. Get some for the baby and a few for Dexter since the baby will be taking some of his diapers. I will have lots of laundry in my future! At least I won't be spending tons of money on disposables. I can't imagine the money spent on 2 in diapers!
Bug seems to be a very active baby. S/he is getting stronger and stronger so I can actually feel it when s/he's moving around while I'm moving around. Before I had to be absolutely still if I wanted to feel Bug. Yesterday the baby was moving around for a full 20 minutes solid kicking and punching me. Maybe some cartwheels and twirlies too. I don't remember Dexter being so active at this stage but then again, I didn't feel Dexter move until I was 18 or 19 weeks.
I'm very excited about our ultrasound next Wednesday! I know Max does not like the idea of the ultrasound pictures going up on the internet so I will probably only be able to post one but at least you will get to see our cute little bug. I can't wait!
